Explanation.

Hello Everyone!

I know I've been MIA for over a month now and I am very sorry about that but I going to be explaining what's been going on to make me not blog.

The reason I haven't been posting on here since mid-January is because I broke up with my boyfriend.

I've wanted to write about this for a while but couldn't really bring myself to it as it had been quite a sensitive subject until now. I suppose initially I didn't really want it broadcast everywhere for everyone to see. This is not going to be one of those 'I hate my ex' posts, it's one of those this is what happened and I'm okay with my life now.

We had been together for two years and for the most part it was good, but the last few months really weren't that fantastic. We were constantly arguing and it didn't seem like he really wanted 'us' anymore. There's only so much that one person can do when they realise that the person they love the most just doesn't love them back. When I finally realised this I had to confront him about it all and unfortunately, nothing he said to me made me want to stay with him.

It's been quite an emotional rollercoaster for me, as I've never really had to break up with someone. Usually it's the other way round and this was such a terrible feeling for me to have. I'd be feeling guilty one moment and happy the next, it was so surreal for me not to know what was going on in my head. After a couple of weeks I started to feel better but then whilst out with my girlfriends *bam* news hits.

I get shown my friends Facebook feed... 'Blah Blah is in a relationship with Blah Blah.'

That killed me. Someone I had loved with all my heart is now with someone else.

As much as my friends wanted to go mad at him I didn't let them.
I suppose once you realise that the other person just didn't love you then it's time to drop everything, move on and get yourself into a much  happier place.

I am now purely focusing on my happiness. I shouldn't need to depend on another human to make me happy. I'm looking after my body a hell of a lot more and ensuring that I can be the best person I can. I have my goals and know what I want in life and you can be sure that I'm going to achieve everything that I've set myself! I'm only just realising how much someone can hold you back from your goals and aspirations, I'm never going to let that happen to me again.

It's all about me now.

Apologies for the tone of this post, but I felt I needed to give you guys some sort of explanation as to why I hadn't been writing as much.
Rest assured, I'm back!

Growing up

Hello Everyone!

You know the feeling when you do something fairly 'grown up'? Yeah well, I had a lot of that feeling today. Me and my boyfriend have been talking about it for the past month or so and we finally decided to have a look around.
Okay so that sounded a bit cryptic... We decided to go have a look at some new build homes in our area today.

I'm 22 and my boyfriend is 21, we've been together now for two years. About a month ago we had a chat about what we want in the next two/three years and the main thing was that we both wanted to have moved out of both of our parents houses. Seeing as neither of us know anything about buying a house we decided to book an appointment at a new development.

When we arrived at the development sales center we were greeted by a lovely sales representative who showed us around several show homes. She told us everything we needed to know and got us in touch with financial/mortgage advisors who talked us through the whole process of buying a house. The man we spoke to explained how much we would be able to borrow, how much our repayments would be and explained the help to buy scheme to us.

We really liked the three bedroom houses that they had there, for us to own that we both need to be in a job which pays a little more than what we currently earn. This is so that we can live comfortably, paying bills off as well as being able to put money away into savings each month.

So today we both felt rather grown up, finding out what we really want and making plans in order to get what we want. It was quite scary but it felt right doing it. It was an insight into what we could afford, I enjoyed looking around the show homes too, my god they're so pretty!

Sorry if this was a bit of a boring post for you guys but this has really excited me today. I absolutely love making big plans!

My Halloween

Happy Halloween!

Okay, so Halloween was last night so I'm a little late in posting this but hey, better late than never right?
Usually for Halloween me and my friends go out for drinks and look all scary with blood all over us. This year however, was a little different.
I mentioned in an earlier post that I attend burlesque classes, for the past four weeks we have been working on a Halloween routine - Micheal Jackson's Thriller. We were all in agreement that our last class in October would involve us dressing up and doing our make up. I chose to go for the masquerade look.

I found this look by watching a halloween makeup tutorial - click here to watch
I had already seen a few of her other halloween tutorials - which are amazing, seriously. Check out her Mad Hatter Tutorial, it's absolutely brilliant.

For this look you will need -
- Black eyeliner ( I used both a pencil and liquid to go over afterwards)
- Purple/Red Eyeshadow (or whichever colour you'd like to have as your mask)
- Black eyeshadow (for contouring and blending)
- Burgundy lipstick (the one I'm wearing is Rimmel's starry eyed lipstick)

This look is super easy to create and looks really effective. I got a lot of comments telling me that it looked really good.

Here is the finished look for my burlesque class. I really enjoyed creating this look.
What did you create for halloween this year?
